Depending on your needs, the explanations stated below are subject to change during the session.
If you would like only your back worked on in a 1-hour or longer session (with your low back, shoulders and neck being the focus area) I can certainly adjust your session.
I can skip areas you feel you do not need therapy on and spend more time on those that do. However, I recommend that at least skimming all areas should be included in a session to find other problem areas, which might cause referred pain.
The techniques seldom change, however pressure is tailored to your needs and most often very effectively.
You may need Trigger Point Therapy done, there is no extra charge for the service. I usually do some trigger point in most of my sessions.
If you have an injury, problem area, or Carpal tunnel syndrome, I often will include Low Level Laser Therapy, if I can use the laser on one part of the body while I am massaging another part of the body.
As you can see, every massage therapy session can be different depending on the client's needs. All services include: calming music, clean sheets, scented aroma-therapy & a bottomless glass of refreshing water (usually High alkaline).
1-hour or longer services may also include hot towel or hot stone treatments.

What to Expect:
Occasionally pain in a particular area is caused by knots. This pain may be a continuouse dull ache or a sharp shooting pain or anywhere in between. The client understands that I may need to palpate to assist in breaking up these knots. This type of massage is considered a trigger point type therapy and can be quite time consuming. For most people, such a session is benificial with pain releif occuring almost immediatly. The area may feel sore or bruised for several days, however the releif from pain is well worth it!
And for some client's, just a relaxing massage will do.
Feedback is very important during the session and will give me the opportunity to apply the necessary techniques and pressure suited for your needs.
Please feel free to contact me about any questions you may have about my business or about the massage therapy session... I have worked on numerous clients, some who have never had a massage before so I have been asked all types of questions...so please do not hesitate, just ask!
